New left-wing political organisation formed in Papua

in Jayapura – On November 3, a small group of left-wing activists met in Jayapura, capital of Indonesia’s Papua province, to form the Papuan Democratic Peoples’ Movement (Garda-P).

Direct Action was the paper of the Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP).

At its final congress on 28 March 2013, the RSP voted unanimously to merge with Socialist Alternative. Several former RSP members subsequently left and went on to form the Red Ant collective.
